About FLK Cabin
FLK Cabin A/S has more than 50 years of experience in the production of driver cabins. The company was founded in 1967 by Frederik L. Koch (FLK). And although times have changed since then, the core value from 1967 is still the same: quality. Because FLK doesn’t just deliver a cabin. We provide the daily work environment for thousands of drivers around the world.
Quality is materials and craftsmanship
We’ve spent the last 50 years testing and selecting materials that meet our high standards. These materials combine to create premium cabs that focus on essential parameters such as comfort, visibility, noise level and quality. This means that we deliver cabs that create a safe and comfortable working environment – both for the driver and the surroundings.
But quality is more than just materials. For us, quality is also in the craftsmanship. We weld all cabins in our own workshop, as it takes solid craftsmanship to deliver quality cabins.
Driver cabs
Most of the time, we work with machine manufacturers where we deliver a “Plug and Play” enclosure, ready for installation at the manufacturer’s premises. But we also offer total solutions where we manufacture and install the cabin on the machine.

Visibility
A clear and wide-ranging view is preventive. It’s safe. It presents the best conditions for any driver and puts safety on the agenda.
Many machines can be dangerous, if the driver doesn’t have the optimal view to the surroundings. Manu accidents occur because drivers hit materials, buildings or even human beings in their surroundings, simply because the view from the cabin is too poor. Such accidents can lead to great material and human loss. That must not happen, and that’s why the view from an FLK cabin has always been our highest priority.
Over the past 50 years, we’ve experimented and sharpened our knowledge about how to create the optimum view for the driver of the machine. To us, the view is not just another parameter – it is safety, and that’s why you will experience a difference, when you are sitting in an FLK Cabin.
Noise reduction
Noise can be stressful. Almost deafening. We specialize in noise reduction in order to create a better, safer and healthier work environment – for all drivers.
Noise is a necessary evil from most machines. At the same time, regulations on environmental health are getting stricter, also on reducing noise at the operator’s ear. There are limits for how long a driver can stay in an area with certain noise levels. Not many people know that even cabins from well-known machine-producers do not live up to these regulations.
This is of course because it’s difficult to achieve a low noise cabin. Over the past 50 years, FLK has been working on the art of reducing noise in cabins for machines. It requires many years of experience just to understand the noise and find the right method to suppress it. It’s not enough just to isolate the cabin. What’s required is an understanding of the complex interaction between vibrations, noise, selection of materials and placement.
However, you don’t have to worry about all of that once you decide on an FLK cabin. We’ve taken the necessary steps to ensure that the driver has the optimal conditions to do his job. Because we know that a driver, that is sitting in a protected environment is able to focus on the important task he has: to steer the machine quickly and safely.
That’s why noise is not just a disturbance, but an environmental and safety problem as well as an economical problem for any company. Noise has to be minimized – and when you’re sitting in an FLK Cabin – you will realize that that’s just what we’ve done.
Comfort
Comfort is not just ergonomics. It’s a state. It’s the absence of discomfort and the presence of contentment. We create cormfortable workspaces – to make it comfortable working.
Comfort is no longer just a luxury that companies cannot afford to offer it’s employees. Modern companies have realized that comfort is what ensures that the driver has be best conditions to do his job quickly, effectively and with as few mistakes as possible. Comfort is e.g. also what prevents the driver from getting a costly work related back-injury. That’s why comfort is both a safety as well as an economic parameter when selecting the right cabin for a machine.
An FLK cabin has been designed with focus on the drivers wellbeing. We want it to be just as natural having focus on a drivers working posture as it is for employees working in the offices. Because very ofteh, the driver spends longer time in the cabin than the office employee does behind the desk. And often the driver has to remain seated hour after hour, in the same position.
That’s why it’s also important to be able to select just the right chair, suitable for the driver. FLK has a long lasting cooperation with leading chair-producers such as Be-Ge and Grammer. Most of our cabins have been designed to have space for such good chairs.
Quality
Quality is key. It’s essential. Without top quality products we would not exist. Because quality never breaks down. It never stops working. It never fails.
In the 50 years that FLK has produced drivers cabins, quality has probably been our most important value – and the one we’re mostly known for. Across all of Europe, FLK is known for a quality that never fails. That is also the reason our cabins are allways the favourite choise when demands are extra high, whether its because they have to endure heat or cold, or in other ways becomes exposed to harsh environments.
We’ve been producing the cabins on our own factory in Denmark for the past 50 years. All our employees are trained and tought in the craftmanship that we’re known for; the development and production of the best cabins on the market. We don’t compromise on quality and the high standards we’ve set for our own production for 50 years. That’s why our motto is to Raise the Standards and that’s where FLK has been leading the market for many years.
We carefully evaluate our design and all our components with the purpose of making a product that will last for many years, and we always strive to become better. That means that quality is a natural part of our production. We have clear standards for our quality, and that is also why we’re certified according to ISO 9001.
